Artful Resonance

Here you can see the resonance experiment with so-called Chladni plates (after the German physicist Ernst Florens Friedrich Chladni), in which a tone generator brings a speaker connected metal plate to vibrate. Grains of sand on the plate arrange themselves to symmetrical figures depending on the frequency applied. The higher the frequency, the more complex the pattern.
